In March 2023, the first domestic hydrogen-fueled hybrid articulated light rail vehicle came off the production line smoothly in Hebei BSR intelligent manufacturing base of Beijing Investment Equipment. The train adopts gridless power supply technology with flexible grouping, and can realize the cross-network operation of urban rail transit and suburban railroads. It can be applied to airports, suburban commuting, scenic tours and other scenarios, which is a first-of-its-kind new-generation light rail train.
The vehicle takes less than 15 minutes to refuel with hydrogen. It can run at a speed of up to 80KM/h and has a range of about 100KM.

In June 2023, China CNR's first hydrogen-powered locomotive "Ningdong" successfully rolled off the production line, which is the world's largest hydrogen-powered locomotive with hydrogen fuel cells. It is also China's first hydrogen-powered locomotive converted from an internal combustion locomotive.
The locomotive is equipped with the world's largest power fuel cell system in the field of rail transportation, with an installed power of up to 800kW, and a single charge can allow the locomotive to run continuously for 100 hours.

In March 2024, China's first hydrogen city train in Changchun held a successful test run. The train successfully reached 160 km/h full operating speed. The highest range can reach up to 1,000+ kilometers.
The train adopts a distributed hybrid power supply scheme with multiple energy storage and hydrogen energy systems. It applies the hydrogen-electric hybrid energy management strategy and control system independently developed by CNR Changchun, which realizes the deep integration of the whole vehicle control and significantly improves the efficiency of energy utilization, as well as improves the flexibility and reliability of energy supply.
